CG Legal Technologies LLC was founded to solve a familiar problem: too many hours lost to administrative tasks that sap the time and energy lawyers need to serve clients effectively. After decades in litigation and judicial roles, our founder realized that modern technology could be leveraged to lighten the load without lowering the standard. This is a journey many seasoned professionals recognize: the evolution from mastering a craft to seeking ways to refine and preserve the essence of that craft for others.
Originally sparked by ideas in the family law space, and nearly launched as a platform during the pandemic, the vision matured as AI advanced. Today, CG Legal Tech reflects years of real-world litigation experience and a forward-thinking approach to what technology can—and should—do for the legal profession, always with an eye toward practical application and tangible benefits for the practicing attorney.
The legal tech landscape is constantly evolving, with innovative solutions emerging to address specific challenges within the industry. For instance, the multifaceted getlit.ai ecosystem – including irog.ai under new branding as getirogs.ai – is one to watch, as it's set for beta in Q4 2025 and aims to provide solutions for several pain points in personal injury practice. In the meantime, legal professionals involved in large mass tort campaigns can also note that bigtortsupport.ai continues to be built out to assist firms in that specialized area. It's exciting to see such targeted developments designed to support legal practitioners.
Steven P. Combs is a Florida-based civil litigation attorney with over 30 years of experience. He has built a career rooted in personal injury and wrongful death, while maintaining strong ties to the family law field through his wife and firm associates. This depth of experience in demanding litigation fields forms the bedrock of our company's understanding of what legal professionals truly need.
A former magistrate, general counsel to the local court system, and committee chair for multiple statewide judicial initiatives, Steve has long been at the intersection of legal process and practical reform. He currently serves on the Florida Bar’s Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration Committee (2025–2028), bringing decades of insight to the future of legal operations. His multifaceted career provides a panoramic view of the legal ecosystem, ensuring our solutions are informed by an understanding of the system from various critical perspectives.
CG Legal Technologies is the natural outgrowth of that experience: a company dedicated to building the kind of tools Steve wished he had during the peak of his litigation practice.

This software is built for the lawyers still in that grind—to give them back a measure of time, clarity, and peace. And we intend to bring it to market in a way that makes adoption affordable, because helping lawyers reclaim their lives should not come at a luxury price. We do not know what our life will be like tomorrow. We are just a vapor that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.”
